Kalao is excited to share more details and insights about its Staking program. As we embark upon a new chapter, Kalao is launching an incentive program that will be beneficial to the community and to the whole Kalao ecosystem with the objective to reward its users for their loyalty and to deliver mechanisms that are accretive to the internal Kalao economy.
We define staking here by the process of committing your $KLO tokens to support and contribute to the Kalao ecosystem.
It allows participants to stake & earn $KLO but will also allow them to get additional benefits such as early access to exclusive NFTs drops or unlocking of premium features.
We did share a couple of months ago a token utility document detailing the utility of the token which will be added progressively but also describing what users should expect from staking $KLO (https://medium.com/@Kalao/kalao-klo-token-utility-9fee338484c9).
The staking mechanism will be instrumental within the Kalao ecosystem and below is a chart that summarizes the 5 main pillars of the incentive program.

45% of the total $KLO supply (vested over 10 years) is allocated to incentivize the community based on their activities and contribution to the Kalao ecosystem.
The Kalao incentive program will allow users to
- Stake their $KLO to unlock more features and be rewarded (Stake & Earn).
- Buy and sell NFTs on Kalao Marketplace and be rewarded based on their trading volumes (Trade & Earn).
- get rewarded for exploring Kalao Vision and contributing to Kalao Metaverse (Play & Earn).

Let’s say that the staked circulating supply is 40%, the average projected APR will be 17%.
We’ll be launching the first stage of our staking program as of Jan 5, 2022, at 3:00 PM UTC.
As shared already, we’ll be adding progressively in Q1 2022 more benefits detailed in the table below. We’ve put in place a Tier system based on the number of $KLO staked which gives access to premium features, discounted fees, and more.
Tiers structure and bonding system are subject to changes depending on $ value of $KLO.
